What more could you want? It’s GTA and it’s on your iPhone. It’s the exact game thats on the PSP and Nintendo DS and at a fraction of the price. The game is set in Liberty City (the setting for GTA 3) and it sees you take control of Huang Lee who is the spoiled son of a recently murdered Triad boss. You are hell bent on revenge for your fathers murder and a tale of twists and turns presents itself in a thrilling and exciting game, with everything you would expect from a GTA game.,

If you’re as big a fan of Twitter as i am then a good Twitter client is essential. Tweetie 2 is the best of class, it provides a clear and easy to navigate interface (which can be used in both portrait and landscape) coupled with advanced features (such as geolocation, video, picture and link shortening integration with a variety of services to chose from) and superb performance which makes this the only choice for Twitter enthusiasts.

Moodagent helps you rediscover music on your iPhone based upon your current mood, the app has sliders that allow you to tell the app how much of each mood you are in, they are: Sensual, Tender, Joy, Aggressive and Tempo, upon changing the sliders the app then generates a playlist which matches your mood. The app also allows you to select a ‘seed’ song, upon selecting a song the app which generate a playlist of similar songs that match the mood of the song you selected. See our in depth review here

Doodle jump

This has to be the most addictive game anywhere. The game is very simple, you tilt your phone from side to side guiding your character across the screen as you jump forever upwards on ever changing platforms avoiding monsters, alien abductions and blackholes. The concept is simple, obtain a high score, there is something very satisfying when you get the high school and extremely frustrating if you make one mistake forcing you to start again. Ridiculously addictive tower defence game, your aim is to protect your house from ever increasing zombie attacks by planting plants that attack the zombies, the zombies come in ever more ridiculous guises such as in a bobsled team or wearing buckets on their heads. There are a variety of plants (read towers) to place on the grid to defend your house and there is a new element that you are required to harvest ‘sun’ from a particular type of plan in order to be able to plant new plants. If you like tower defence games then this is the one for you.

You’re out and about with no access to a tv and you desperately need to know the football scores? Espn Score Centre provides instant and easy access to news, previews, live scores and results for multiple sports such as soccer, american football, baseball etc. The app is completely customisable and you only see the fixtures and results for the sports that you wish to see, you can set your favourite team in the app which will give you instant access to their results. The app also sports alerts so you can get notified the instant a goal or incident happens in a match.

Ever bemoaned the fact that Apple didn’t build a radio into the iPhone? This is where Internet Radio Box comes in, it provides instant access to over 30,000 internet radio stations that you can stream over Wifi or 3g so no longer do you have to do without radio. The app has a beautifully designed user interface and includes a built in web browser so you can still surf the web when listening to the radio, it also has the ability to play mp3 or aac radiostations in the background whilst enabling you to use other apps at the same time.

Another simple yet addictive game, you flick the screen to throw a screwed up piece of paper into a wastepaper basket. The game gets tricky when the distance you need to flick it in for increases and a desk fan blows wind across your path diverting the paper from its intended location, incredibly simple yet fiendishly addictive.

This handy little app allows you to chat on many instant messaging networks such as MSN, Facebook, GoogleTalk, Skype, Twitter and many more. The app even runs in the background by using push notifications so you can close the app and launch another whilst still being connected and receiving messages. The app supports emoticons so you can send smileys until your hearts content, it also sports an inbuilt browser allowing you to surf the web at the same time as chatting to your friends.

Ever been out and about or at a party and a song you really like comes on but you don’t know the name of it? This is where Shazam comes in, startup the app, hit a button and the app will record the currently playing song, analyse the data and then provide you with the song name, artist and even links to view the song on youtube or links to purchase it in iTunes, no longer do you have to be annoyed at not knowing what song is playing.
